Thank you for joining me in my special place – where I pay homage to optimism and joy!

This art studio and gallery space was created in 2022, after establishing my interior decorating showroom in 2011.

I’m thrilled to share my paintings with you. 

I have been a maker all my life. My fascination with colour, texture, form, fabrics and pattern drew me to interior decorating. Painting full time feels like a natural creative evolution!

My works emerge by applying multiple layers and mixed media onto paper, canvas and sometimes clay. Some of my favourite mediums include acrylic paint, gouache, oil stick, pencil, gold leaf and collage. Each has a unique affect and I adore the process which allows me to explore themes such as optimism and resilience - and my thoughts and musings on human nature and relationships.

Visit my studio and you will find me working on multiple paintings at once. This allows me to build a series of work whilst exploring its depth, connection and relevance.

Growing up on a property in Central Queensland I was able to hone my powers of observation. Nature provides endless inspiration – be it a shadow, the pattern or colours on a leaf or the light of the moon. I am grateful for my quirky, humorous family who allowed me the space to create, imagine and play in the wide-open spaces. 

These formative years shaped my love for adventure and later travel but what inspires and intrigues me most is the PEOPLE I have met along the way. The rich tapestry of humanity, people’s quirks and strength – the many layers that make each human so unique is what I am exploring in my painting.  Resilience and the ability for optimism and humour to sit alongside grief and sadness inspires me. I am attempting to express these concepts in my paintings – nature, colour, culture, resilience and optimism!
